Hardik Pandya Wankhede Grand Welcome: When the Indian team returned home after winning the T20 World Cup 2024, it was given a very warm welcome. A flood of fans was seen in the victory parade held in Mumbai. The Wankhede Stadium was packed to the brim without any match. This is because the Champions Samman ceremony was organized in this stadium. Hardik Pandya was also present in this ground. People were very crazy about him, but about a month ago, Hardik Pandya had to face trollers many times on this ground.
Pandya made his haters his fans
Just a few months ago, Mumbai’s cricket fans were very angry with Hardik Pandya. Actually, he was being blamed for the poor performance of Mumbai Indians in IPL. But today the same Hardik has returned to Mumbai as a hero.
Pandya’s stellar performance in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024, especially his role in India’s 7-run win against South Africa in the final, has made him a fan favourite again.
Pandya took three wickets in the final, including important batsmen like Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller. The scene of the last wicket falling, when Suryakumar Yadav took a brilliant catch on the boundary line, will probably be seen again and again by Indian cricket fans. And Pandya, who bowled that over, will also not be easily forgotten.
Pandya finished the World Cup with 11 wickets, and was ranked as the world’s number 1 all-rounder in the ICC rankings that followed.
Pandya expressed his gratitude to the people of Mumbai and India
A different side of Hardik Pandya was seen in the victory parade held in Mumbai. Where he was holding the trophy and showing it to the fans and filling them with a sense of pride. Hardik Pandya has shared this video on his social media. He wrote in the caption of this post – “India, you mean the world to me! Thank you for your love from the bottom of my heart.. These are moments I will never forget! Thank you for coming and celebrating with us despite the rain! We love you so much! We do everything just to celebrate with you! We are all champions! All 1.4 billion of us! Thank you Mumbai, thank you India.”
