Neeraj Chopra Led Indian Athletics Team At Paris Olympics 2024: The Olympics 2024 is going to start in Paris from 26 July. The Olympics are being organized in Paris for the third time after 100 years. In which about 10,500 athletes from 206 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) are participating. This time a group of 28 athletes from India is going to wave the flag of their country in the Paris Olympics. Which will be led by world champion Neeraj Chopra.
Let us tell you that recently Neeraj Chopra had also left the Diamond League to be held in Paris to prepare for the Olympics. This team led by Neeraj Chopra includes 17 male and 11 female players. Race walkers Priyanka Goswami and Akshadeep Singh became the first Indian players to qualify in athletics this year. Apart from these, players Avinash Sable and Tajinderpal Singh Toor, who won gold medals in the Hangzhou Asian Games, are also part of this team.
All eyes will be on the Indian relay team
This time all eyes will be on the 4×400 meter relay team, which has qualified for the World Athletics Relay 2024 tournament in Bahamas. The team includes Muhammad Anas, Muhammad Ajmal, Amoj Jacob and Rajesh Ramesh.
Sports Minister Mansukh L. Mandaviya told PTI on Sunday – “During the send-off ceremony for the players who left for the track and field competition to be held from 1 to 11 August at the Stadium de France, it was also said that I am confident that this team will maintain India’s continuous progress in sports.”

- Woman: Kiran Pahal (400m), Parul Choudhary (3,000m steeplechase and 5,000m), Jyoti Yaraji (100m hurdles), Anu Rani (javelin throw), Abha Khatua (shot put), Jyotika Sri Dandi, Subha Venkatesh, Vithya Ramaraj, Poovamma M.R. (4x400m relay), Prachi (4x400m relay), Priyanka Goswami (20km race walk/race walk mixed marathon).
