Maharashtra News: Union Minister Narayan Rane on Wednesday targeted Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange for threatening to disrupt Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rallies in Maharashtra. Simple. Rane said in a post on ‘X’ that the worker sitting on hunger strike has crossed all limits. The Union minister is a prominent Maratha leader from the Maharashtra unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Rane said, “Manoj Jarange has made an absurd and insensitive comment that he is the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi Will make it difficult for people to visit any place in Maharashtra. He has crossed all limits. I challenge you that when Prime Minister Modi visits Maharashtra, you will not be able to move from your place. I do not consider him a leader of the Marathas.” The former Chief Minister said, ”It seems that he has suffered some mental shock and he is making such comments which have no meaning.” He said that the worker should know his limits. Should and should remain within limits.
Manoj Jarange is sitting on hunger strike
Jarange, who is leading the movement of the Maratha community for reservation in jobs and education, is on an indefinite hunger strike in his native village Antarwali Sarti in Jalna district for the last five days. Earlier on Wednesday, Jarrange had warned from the protest site that if their demands were not met, then no public meeting of Prime Minister Modi would be allowed in Maharashtra. Apart from this, Jarange has demanded to call a special session of the state legislature to convert into law a draft notification on granting Kunbi caste certificates to blood relatives of Kunbi Marathas so that they can avail the benefits of reservation given to Other Backward Classes.
