During an interview given to NI, Ranjeet, a very famous villain of Bollywood, has revealed that he was offered the role of Gabbar from Sholay. Although he rejected it. The actor has also revealed the reason for this. Ranjeet told that out of respect for his friendship with Danny, he had rejected the iconic role of Gabbar in Sholay.
Why did Ranjeet reject the role of Gabbar?
Amar Akbar Anthony actor said, ‘When he came to me he told me that Danny would not come now. Actually, I didn’t even have any idea about the role. I told him clearly, ‘Danny is my good friend. Either you get me a no objection letter from him or at least let him talk to me. If he agrees then I will do the film. But I knew why he was not coming and I refused to be a part of the film. This role was for Amjad Khan. Maybe if I had acted like Gabbar, maybe the audience would not have liked it.”
