New Delhi: Some interesting details about shooting the climax sequence of Nag Ashwin’s film ‘Kalki 2898 A.D.’ were revealed by actor Saswata Chatterjee in a recent interview. The actor who plays Commander Manas recently spoke about Deepika Padukone’s pregnancy while playing the role of SU-M80 (Sumati), who is a pregnant test subject.
Shashwat Chatterjee claims that Deepika was pregnant when she performed physically demanding scenes for her character in ‘Kalki 2898 A.D.’ Shashwat revealed that in the last scene, there is a fight between Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) and Shashwat’s character and Ashwatthama drags the SU-M80 away by his hair.
Saswata Chatterjee told News18, “Deepika is always smiling. There is a scene in the film where I drag her by her hair. It was part of the last leg of the shoot and was shot in Mumbai as Deepika was pregnant by then. The scene had a lot of physical struggle, so I told Ranveer, don’t worry, there is a body double for the more physically challenging scenes.” She remembered soon-to-be father Ranveer’s reaction, “I know, Dada,” and praised him for being humble.
